Social Media Recap


I've found interesting to share with you this litle social media recap. Indeed, several new tools are present in the web and some of you could be confuse with all of them. Therefore, I will try to clarify this mess...

Social networking websites are used by millions of Internet users each day and are being increasingly utilised by businesses too. Is the way people are now connecting between each other and this one is a powerful tool in today business market.

When we talk about social network, usually we think about young people. It’s true that his story has started with them but currently the social networks’ audiences have become broader and older.
For instance, Facebook originally started for student in college, but now we can see many memberships from 35-49 year olds and this tendency still growing.
Even people from 50-64 years olds are as present as those under 18.
Pre-eminently, their current base is one-thirds 35-49 years of age and one-quarter over 50 years old. All of this to say that social networks covers almost all age group.

Millions of Internet users are using this channel, so it is unproblematic way to be in touch with specific target easily.

The social networking has several goals. Firstly, to increase the public’s attention in communicating regularly with your audience, that helps a lot in developing rapidly your Jazz band awareness. Once you have doing that, the result could be measured thanks to the traffic being driven to your website.

Then, to improve the reputation of your website. You have to keep updating constantly your website in order to make it attractive.

Equally, discuss with your audience in different networking sites such as twitter, blogs and forums; that will boost your reputation and your brand’s awareness. You need to be focus on your networking communication; it is vital for your online reputation.
Also be attentive and make sure that the content in your website is of quality in order to entice people interested. If you do not have time for this, we recommend you to hire someone who should be in charge of that. Usually people who do not use twitter do not know what is about, for that we will explain you how this one works.

When using this platform it is all about short sentences (only 140 characters), the goal is to share immediately information with your followers (tweeter’s users). People who are interested by your conversations will subscribe to your tweet; which allow them to follow your updates. You do not need to search for audience; the audience will come to you. It is a great communication tool. Once you receive feedbacks about what you have posted, we recommend you to develop a relationship with your followers. It would show them your interest.

Regarding the number of users it is easy for you to increase your fan base in sharing adequately topics related to your field even you could link your websites, your blog, your Facebook account and so on…

Blogs

Blogs are more and more used to share topics in deeper way. For you the advantage of it is to explain who you are to your fan base and what your Band is about. You just need to write all about your Jazz Band and even all the plans you do have for the future and so on...  It will help you in increasing your Jazz brand awareness.
In using this tool you could also talk to your fans, post pictures of your concerts, pictures of the recording process… This is more personal approach and this will allow you to create relationship and interaction with your fans.

There are many different Blog platforms but we recommend you to have the Wordpress. It is free popular blogging software adopted by most musicians and the presence of RSS feeds gives him its particularity. The RSS feeds helps to give the latest news about your blog in real time to your fans.

To create a successful blog, you need to know where the traffic to your blog is coming from and what people do when they visit your blog.
For that, it exists many tools that help to analyse the traffic of your blog. Here you are some of them:
